Super Paper Mario Review Online Games, April 23, 2007The Paper Mario games are reminders that as far as we come with graphics and technology, the value of simple gameplay and a little heart has never changed. Even though it is shed most of its predecessors RPG elements, Super Paper Mario really shines as an end-all 2D platforming game - it breaks every kind of dimension, it is a classic world you can prod and spin and reshape.
Mario saving the universe is just one storyline; there are star-crossed lovers, backstabbers and best friends. Intelligent Systems has created a wonderful Mario world where our mute hero struggles with more self-absorbed morons than Goombas or Koopas. Merlon, Merlee and some of the other second-string characters from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door return to guide you from 2D to 3D, from cretaceous worlds to outer space and back...

Streets of Rage 2 Review Online Games, September 4, 2007
While the original Streets of Rage always stood in the shadow of Capcom's genre-defining Final Fight, Sega's homegrown beat-'em-up series really came into its own with Streets of Rage 2. Released two years after the original, Streets of Rage 2 offered markedly refined gameplay and improved presentation, both technically and stylistically. The game was released on the Wii Virtual Console earlier this year, and now it's on Xbox Live Arcade with a few new bells and whistles...
...While there were minor differences between the three playable characters in the original Streets of Rage, they're much more pronounced here. Most significant is that each character has a special attack that effectively replaces the ability to call in an artillery strike from the first game, though even basics like run speed, attack strength, and how grapple moves are executed look and feel unique to each of the four characters...
