...Midway is bringing current-gen Mortal Kombat to a close with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the biggest title in this legendary fighting game series to date. Armageddon promises to be the most complete MK title ever with tons of gameplay, dozens of characters to choose from, and several new features to bring longtime fans of the series back for one final blast through the Outworld...

...Last but not least, the game's producer hinted at a super secret mode akin to the zany puzzle games in previous MK titles. We don't really know what to expect, but we imagine it'll be a simple, pick-up-and-play style as the other mini-games have been. Maybe Gauntlet with Mortal Kombat characters? Sega rolled out a Wii version of Super Monkey Ball recently, and we had a chance to check out all of the monkey madness using the system's motion-sensing remote and nunchaku. There's not much that looks different in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, but its feel adds a new layer of fun when controlling AiAi and friends.

In the single-player puzzle demo, tilting the remote sent AiAi rolling in the corresponding direction. Slightly pointing the remote down rolled him forward, leaning it to the right or left initiated a turn, and adjusting it to the ceiling slowed him down and eventually sent him backwards.
