Times have changed. These games have become faster-paced and more streamlined, with better control layouts, prettier graphics, and in the case of EALA's upcoming sequel, they have scout dogs and parachuting bears. Painkiller: Hell Wars review Online Games, August 7, 2006
...The single player game takes you through the best missions from the PC game and the expansion pack, and should take you a healthy amount of time to blow through. There's even some replay value, thanks to secret "Dark Tarot" cards that unlock new powers and upgrades.

As far as mindless FPS games go, Painkiller: Hell Wars isn't a bad pickup. It's only 30 bucks, and for folks that haven't picked up the 360, it's one of the few new FPS games you'll be seeing for some time.
